The Juanita and Lake Washington wrestling teams traveled to Skyline High School on Saturday, Feb. 11 for the regional wrestling tournament.

Wrestling: Washington Sweeps Vermillion, Harrisburg

HARRISBURG — Sioux Falls Washington scored a pair of easy victories, beating Vermillion and Harrisburg in a wrestling triangular Friday.

Washington captures 2A regional wrestling title with six champs

Washington wrestling coach Bryan Medlin has been stressing postseason all season as the time to shine. And the Panthers took that first step Saturday as they captured their third consecutive Class 2A regional team title at home. Washington put seven in the finals, earned six individual titles and will send nine wrestlers to sectionals after scoring 201 points — 43 more than runner-up Notre Dame.
